How I got inspired to build micro-SaaS products in public
I haven’t been consistent on Twitter until early 2022 around January when I gave myself some goals to accomplish before the year runs out. One of the goals was to grow a large Twitter audience.
I started tweeting a bit about lifestyle and software development-related issues. I had little to no idea what I was doing, but I knew deep down I wanted to help software devs improve their lifestyle while coding.
How I Discovered Euboid
Fast-forward to February, I stumbled upon an interesting tweet by Euboid about a resource he found which was the saaslandingpage.com site. Euboid is also known as Wilson, a Software dev and Indie-Hacker.
My Reaction Afterward
I was shocked by how Euboid’s followers grew from 300 to 600+ within two days that he made that tweet. Right now, Euboid has about 1k+ followers on Twitter and his account is only 3 months old as of the time of writing this.
This was an eye-opener for me and I had to chat Euboid up immediately to say hi. He replied and we got talking, and that’s when I found out that he is also Nigerian.
I was stoked and decided to follow up and watch his progress closely on Twitter.
To cut the long story short, I was inspired by his level of discipline and consistency for the past 3 months which he has been on Twitter, so I decided to emulate him since I also love to build things for the web.
The Journey Begins
I went ahead to kick start my journey to build micro-SaaS products in public and grow them from $0 to $1k MRR.
The engagement I received the day I shared the above tweet alone gave me a view of what’s to come if I continued on this path.
I know now that the Twitter game when it comes to building in public and growing an audience is about being consistent in giving value and engaging with other like minds. The right people will eventually find you along the way.
I hope this helps someone who is about to embark on a similar journey.
I’ll continue sharing what I learn on my journey here. If you’d like to follow my progress find me on Twitter.
